Face of the Week: Julia Reno, Harvard Entrepreneur, and Top Model
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell us about yourself
My name is Julia Reno, aka @juliareno_official from Minneapolis (MN). I came to America originally from Ukraine, where I graduated from a beauty college. I’ve always been involved in fashion, and modeling, and participated in social events. It started when I won “Miss Fall”, a competition back in my beauty school in Ukraine. Since then I have modeled for a shoe designer named John Ashford in New York, and worked along with an amazing event organizer named Amanda Roseth for Minnesota’s Ice Castle as a snow princess for 2 years. Recently I promoted the Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience inspired by the Shondaland hit series on Netflix in Minneapolis ( Minnesota ).
Past experiences have included being chosen as a brand ambassador for New York and Company, Lugz, Shein, Dream Pairs, Members Only, Adrianna Papell, Wyndham Hotels and so many of which I continue to work with on an ongoing basis
I am currently a part of the Amazon influencer program, a member of the InStyle Magazine Trendsetters Community, and also a part of the Vogue Club, where I learn directly from world-leading style experts about the latest style trends and must-have pieces, where editors open their office doors to share their expertise in fashion, business, beauty, life and more.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What separates you from others who do what you do?
I’m Persistent. I put the work before the money. Another words, my main focus is to make my partners happy before I focus on my own profit. I believe the end result will be growth and success for both of us.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: How long have you doing what you do?
I started the juliareno_official brand approximately 3 years ago, but I have been involved in videography, modeling, and fashion my entire adult life. I have recently focused on continuing education by studying entrepreneurship and business at Harvard business school and constantly looking for opportunities to improve.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be? Explain why.
Disciplined, persistent and spiritual. One of my principals is to do my best in everything I do. This way I won’t have regrets. By disciplining myself to never give up, I create more opportunities to succeed. I believe there is more to life than what we see. We get back what we put in.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’m only 5’5, I would add a couple inches in height:)
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Who is your role model? Why?
An entrepreneur by the name of John Osher. I discovered him while studying in Harvard and his business approach is my greatest inspiration.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
My goal is to have my own show on Netflix.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What are your hopes and dreams for yourself in the coming 10 years?
Hopefully I can inspire others by my success and I can leave a legacy behind me to provide for and help my family and those in need.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could give a bit of significant career advice to your younger self, what would you say?
Better to try and fail, than to not try and regret.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What has been your career highlight until now?
At this point I don’t have a single highlight, but I’m blessed to have the opportunity to work with interesting people and brands, doing creative things and seeing new places on an ongoing basis.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is the best advice you received that changed your life?
Work hard to get where you want to be in life. Thank you mom and dad!
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What professional skill makes you stand out in your field of work?
I use my creative ability to develop a mini story around the products or places I promote in my content.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is that one life lesson that you learned a little too late?
Don’t make excuses for people. If someone is dishonest, leave.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your biggest lifetime accomplishment?
Accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and letting my faith guide me to make good decisions in my business and personal life.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell us about one event that had a big impact on you.
Moving to the United States from Ukraine. It completely changed everything I was used to in every area of my life. Including home, family, friends, language, career, and lifestyle.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is the Funniest thing that happened to you in 2022?
It may sound small to some people, but I learned how to jump-start a car by myself:) Never thought I would do it and it makes me laugh remembering how scared I was.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your number one goal for 2023?
Right now I’m working on a specific project, because of the nature I can’t share it yet. Hope to complete it by mid 2023.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your biggest regret in life?
Not moving on sooner after finding out someone cheated on me.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Describe your perfect vacation.
I would say my ideal vacation would have to include a beautiful view from the balcony of a lux hotel, fantastic coffee in the morning, and champagne in the evening. Great company and my puppy next to me.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What do you think is your worst quality?
Sometimes I’m very impatient
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you had to throw a surprise party for someone, what would you plan for them?
I would pick a theme based on what that person enjoys and surprise them in a beautiful place with gifts based on that theme.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What type of music do you love the most? Why?
There’s never a day without music in my life. I love all types, it just depends on my mood.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell me your worst joke.
What did one traffic light say to the other? Stop looking at me, I’m changing.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Do you have any favorite pairs of shoes? If yes, explain!
Yes. I own 100+ pairs. One of my favorites is a pair of boots I brought from Ukraine.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your opinion on the kind of current music that the artists are releasing?
Music became a very important part of all our social media platforms and has a major impact on any type of video production. Although trends are changing rapidly, some songs will stay with you forever.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Who is your ideal fictional character?
Elsa from Frozen (Let it go… 🎶)
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What type of music do you love the most?
Currently I like romantic music
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would live in Maui, because I love their weather, beautiful views, access to the ocean and the entire laid back vibe.
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your philosophy in life?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Prince or Michael Jackson? Why?
Michael Jackson, because I grew up with his music. Brings me back to my childhood.

Love. Money can’t buy it, but when you are in love you’ll make lots of it.

The best gift I received in 2022 was my parents moving here from Ukraine.

I received a gold toilet as a gift.

Great outfit, high heels, and red lipstick. I’ll conquer that old devil if I pray. 1000%!
DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could thank two persons for everything you achieved in life so far, who would they be?
To be honest, there are way more than two people I’m grateful for. There are always someone who’s there for me and I’m grateful for each and every person in my life, including you!

To have my own show on Netflix

I don’t need one, I’m doing my best everyday
