Snoop Dogg Returns To His Roots With The Opening Of S.W.E.D. Long Beach

The store’s bold design honors the early days of hip-hop, mixing cutting‑edge technology with street‑inspired visuals, vibrant colorways, and throwbacks to the classic Snoop era. Inside, guests will find retro arcade games, Snoop’s personal lounge, two live DJ booths, and a state-of-the-art hologram of the icon himself. Each element was intentionally designed to celebrate Long Beach’s rich culture and community that shaped his journey. Iconic touches, including references to the legendary Hood Rich Lowrider and more.  

Snoop Dogg’s return also reinforces his continued commitment to supporting equitable growth within California’s cannabis industry and beyond. Through S.W.E.D., Snoop is expanding his cannabis footprint with purpose, honoring the culture while creating equitable job opportunities and long‑term career pathways for residents at a pivotal moment as the city advances its Grow Long Beach Economic Blueprint. 

“Long Beach made me who I am,” says Snoop Dogg. “Opening S.W.E.D. in Long Beach is my way of showing love to the community that showed love to me. We’re creating jobs, opportunities, and a space that celebrates the culture.” 

The official Grand Opening of S.W.E.D. Long Beach will take place on May 9. Snoop Dogg, along with family, will be present for a ceremonial ribbon cutting to commemorate this historic moment. The event is open to persons 21+ with valid ID or 18+ with a valid medical recommendation.
