What inspired you to pursue your career or business?
My aspiration for a successful and fulfilling career in business extends beyond mere talk; it centers on embodying the values of integrity, reliability, and genuine commitment to clients. It’s not just about addressing their needs but genuinely putting the individual first, without reducing them to a mere financial asset. I believe that true change is needed in the business world. While many may focus on the perks of political or celebrity circles, or revel in the company of influential individuals, my perspective differs. I recognize the importance of genuine connections and prioritizing people over privileges. In a world where certain luxuries seem contingent upon memberships and financial contributions, I’ve chosen to build my career on a different currency— one of integrity and trust. In an environment where talk is abundant, I am committed to leading by example, demonstrating through actions that go beyond rhetoric. My goal is not just to be successful but to redefine success by fostering authentic relationships built on trust and a genuine regard for the well-being of others. What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your career/business and how did you overcome it?
The most significant challenge I’ve encountered in my career, much like many others, has been the struggle to be treated as an equal. Despite possessing experience and a college education, the assumption that this recognition would come naturally has proven to be far from reality. The journey has been marked by distinct phases. In my teens and twenties, there was a pervasive tendency to be treated with a lack of respect, akin to a subordinate or, regrettably, even as a commodity. As one transitions into their thirties, an awkward decade unfolds, where the line between being a young adult and an established one becomes blurred. It’s a time of grappling with the misperception of not being seen or treated as a full-fledged adult, adding another layer of complexity to professional interactions. Fortunately, as I entered my forties, I found this decade to be the most rewarding and fulfilling period of my life. It brought a sense of confidence, self-assuredness, and a deeper understanding of my worth. With this newfound clarity, I look forward to turning 50, recognizing that each stage of life brings unique growth opportunities.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I prioritize maintaining a positive mindset by deliberately keeping pessimistic thoughts and individuals at bay in my life.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career/business journey so far?
In navigating life, I’ve come to appreciate the discernment required to recognize that not every person or apparent opportunity aligns with my best interests. Despite the initial allure or promises, I’ve learned to approach situations with a thoughtful and discerning mindset. This perspective involves acknowledging that some individuals may not share the same values or genuine intentions. Similarly, what may seem like a promising opportunity at first glance might not necessarily contribute positively to my overall well-being or long-term goals. By exercising caution and a level of skepticism, I aim to make informed decisions about the people I allow into my life and the opportunities I pursue. This approach helps me safeguard my time, energy, and resources for endeavors that genuinely resonate with my values and contribute positively to my personal and professional growth. It’s a continual process of refining my judgment and staying attuned to what truly serves my best interests in the broader context of my life journey.

What is your biggest dream, and how are you working towards achieving it?
My biggest dream is to be in a financial position with unlimited resources, allowing me to establish my studio where I can seamlessly integrate both TV and radio. I envision having the flexibility to take longer, extended breaks to breathe and relax. However, I admit that at times, I feel guilty about taking a break, especially when I consider that people are relying on me to deliver results.

How has your faith or spirituality played a role in your career/business?
My faith and spirituality hold a significant place in my life. I wholeheartedly believe in God, and I am grounded in the truth of my relationship with Him. Embracing my truth, I find comfort in expressing and sharing who I am with others. In my spiritual journey, I’ve encountered individuals who profess a love for God and a desire to do what is right. However, I’ve come to understand that the true measure of someone’s character may only become evident when faced with desperation. It is during challenging times that one’s authentic self often emerges, revealing the depth of their convictions and the sincerity of their faith.

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
I maintain a healthy work-life balance by adopting a mindful approach, pacing myself, and paying close attention to my breath. Recognizing where in my body I might be holding my breath helps me gauge whether I am in a state of stress, fear, or relaxation. This awareness allows me to make intentional adjustments, ensuring that I am attuned to my physical and mental well-being while navigating the demands of work and life.

What advice would you give to someone just starting in your field?
The advice I can offer to someone embarking on a new journey in their life is to refrain from trying to fit into someone else’s mold or sphere. Instead, focus on cultivating a passion for extending good intentions. Seek individuals who genuinely resonate with you and share a mutual desire to collaborate, creating a space where you can collectively expand and contribute to positive evolution. What is something that people often misunderstand about your work/business?
Many people hold the misconception that public relations is primarily about buying media placement and securing organic media coverage. However, the reality is far more nuanced. Public relations serves as the main operational system of every business. Its primary goal is to function seamlessly in the background, actively maintaining operational homeostasis while communicating with and keeping clients in balance throughout their daily lives. Regrettably, the public relations industry is not immune to fraud, with individuals who contribute little while still managing to earn money. This phenomenon is perplexing, considering the critical role publicists play. Even among proficient publicists, challenges persist, often stemming from a lack of teamwork and an insufficient understanding that the client’s needs should always take precedence over personal interests. Having had positive experiences working collaboratively with several publicists in the past, be inspired to have cohesive teamwork at the forefront in all that you do. It is crucial to ensure that publicists not only possess legitimate credentials but also have a comprehensive understanding of the legal responsibilities associated with their role. Putting the client first should be the cardinal principle, and this commitment should guide their actions, ensuring that the job is done right the first time.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your work/business?
The most rewarding aspect is believing that you’ve given your best for your client. Regularly seeking feedback and asking questions are essential practices. Encourage clients to share their perspectives on your professionalism and the services provided. Inquire about the utility and effectiveness of your methods and techniques, and whether they found value and learned from the experience. This ongoing dialogue not only strengthens your client relationships but also allows you to continuously refine and improve your approach based on real-time insights and needs.

What is something that you’re passionate about outside of your work/business?
I take pleasure in the art of writing and find joy in discovering the lessons embedded in every sign that crosses my path. Each experience becomes an opportunity for growth, learning, and evolution, contributing to my continuous journey of self-discovery and personal development. One evening, as I was out for a peaceful walk, a fellow walker approached me and said, “Man, you should be proud of yourself.” With those simple yet affirming words, he continued on his way. Such moments and encounters are frequent in my life, serving as unexpected and uplifting experiences that add a touch of positivity to my journey.

What is the most valuable skill you have learned in your career/business?
One of the most valuable pieces of wisdom comes from my Sicilian grandfather, who advised, “Keep your ears and eyes open and your mouth shut. You will learn a lot in life when you do this.” This counsel underscores the importance of keen observation and active listening as key skills for gaining valuable insights and knowledge throughout one’s life. My journey is most certainly not boring.

What is something you wish you knew when you were just starting in your career/business?
I always knew this, but I didn’t realize how often it would happen. Experiencing betrayal has underscored the importance of having a vast support system. Unfortunately, many people communicate through false promises and wishful thinking. I’ve learned not to get lost in their fantasies or lies. I’m careful not to collapse within myself, avoiding the trap of hoping for a fantasy that may never become a reality. Instead, I create my reality by consistently taking action and engaging in meaningful activities that will guarantee some sort of result.

How do you deal with failure or setbacks?
I don’t believe in failure. It’s a misconception that, tragically, can destroy someone or even take someone’s life when not clearly understood that there are no mistakes in life. Every experience is a learning lesson, even when one is reluctant to accept it as an excuse. The key is to find a way, to navigate without getting in your way. Don’t worry about asking the wrong question; instead, just ask why. Sit with that question and be open to receiving the answer, without expecting it to align with what you want to hear. This is where people often go astray—when they ask a question and make it clear that if it’s not the answer they desire, they’d prefer no response at all. In doing so, they miss the opportunity to learn and understand.

What is your philosophy in life?

When seeking respect, appreciation, and support, it’s essential not to attempt to buy them. Instead, focus on earning them through your actions, integrity, and genuine efforts. True respect and support are cultivated through authenticity and merit, not through transactions

What is one thing that you have accomplished that you’re most proud of?
To stop getting in my way and expecting things to happen when I want them to.

How do you see yourself and your business/career evolving in the future?
I envision achieving my goals, but not necessarily in the manner I initially expected. Every accomplishment in my life has arisen from moments of discomfort and unexpected assistance from people I never imagined would play a crucial role in my journey.

How do you give back to your community or make a positive impact in the world?
Through sitting down and engaging in a conversation, I establish connections with potential clients. I adhere to the principle of not charging a consultation fee, as I believe it’s counterproductive to my business model. Instead, I recognize the value of offering an inviting introduction, allowing potential clients to assess my approach without financial commitment. This fosters a more comfortable and open environment for both parties as they consider the prospect of working together.

The most impactful advice I’ve received is, “It is not about perfection, it is about progress.”

I embrace the opportunity to learn from others, and I find satisfaction in contemplating how I can improve upon what I’ve learned. I actively seek areas where more care could have been applied in every situation, always aiming to refine and enhance my understanding and approach.

Finally, can you share a funny story or experience related to entrepreneurship that you’ve had?
I wouldn’t categorize this as amusing in the world of entrepreneurship. What’s unfortunate is witnessing individuals who invest significant amounts of money in crafting a stage presence to become keynote speakers. They often utilize personal tragedies or sad stories to keep unsuspecting and vulnerable individuals, potential clients included, trapped in a cycle of continuous selling of books and programs. This perpetuates a revolving income without achieving genuine resolution for themselves or others involved.

While creating a state of economy for themselves and is becoming increasingly desperate due to the prevalence of individuals in certain spheres lacking genuine intelligence. Many seem to willingly dumb themselves down and others, adopting a mindset that turns them into mindless robots. They often take on a messianic role, claiming to want to save the world. However, in reality, it appears more like another cult dressed in suits and dresses, all participating in a revolving masquerade ball. When the day arrives and you witness me delivering a public speech, rest assured it will be for a significant and compelling reason.
