Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you do?

My name is Vianca Mireya, and I’m the CEO and Founder of Vision Oasis Entertainment. I also serve as the Public Relations Manager and Talent Manager for 247 Live Culture. My specialties include artist management, public relations, entertainment law, digital marketing, A&R, and more.

What inspired you to pursue your career or business?

Growing up, I was deeply involved in music and performance, playing multiple instruments and participating in various musical and artistic activities. However, when I entered college, I decided to shift my focus towards the business side of the entertainment industry. I combined my passion for entertainment, business, and law, leading me to where I am today. I draw inspiration from several influential entertainment executives, including Sylvia Robinson, Sylvia Rhone, Issa Rae, Quincy Jones, and others.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I maintain my focus by keeping the bigger picture in mind and envisioning my future. I understand that success is a journey, and there are no shortcuts. What keeps me motivated is witnessing my dreams materialize into reality and having a support network of people who care and believe in me.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your career/business journey so far?

The most significant lesson I’ve learned is that sometimes when things don’t go as planned or when circumstances change, it can actually be a blessing in disguise.

How do you define success?

To me, success is characterized by persistence and self-confidence. It’s not solely about achieving specific goals but also about surmounting obstacles and discovering your purpose.

What is your biggest dream, and how are you working towards achieving it?

My ultimate dream is to become a household name in the industry. I aspire to reach a point where my influence is so substantial that my name resonates in rooms I once could only dream of entering. I want my success, dedication, and talent to speak for themselves.

How has your faith or spirituality played a role in your career/business?

My faith has always been a profound source of support. It has granted me strength and determination on numerous occasions and guided me from the very beginning of my journey. Without my faith, I would be incomplete.

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

Lately, I’ve been actively working on improving my work-life balance. I’ve adopted a practice of setting aside time at the beginning of each week, typically on Sundays, to plan and organize tasks for the upcoming week. By scheduling specific tasks on particular days, I’ve found it easier to maintain a consistent routine and create more free time for activities outside of work.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your field?

My most significant advice would be to take that leap of faith and prioritize networking. Networking is a crucial aspect of the entertainment industry. You’ll never know the opportunities that may arise if you don’t put yourself out there.

What is something that people often misunderstand about your work/business?

Many people outside the industry often fail to comprehend the intricate business aspects behind the scenes. They tend to focus solely on the glamour, red carpets, cameras, and the visible aspects of entertainment. In reality, there is so much more involved, including campaigns, logistics, legal teams, media training, and countless hours of rehearsal, all to produce the brief moments seen on television or online.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your work/business?

The most fulfilling aspect of my work is witnessing the impact I’ve had externally. Seeing my artists and clients thrive and succeed with my assistance makes all the effort worthwhile.

What is something that you’re passionate about outside of your work/business? Beyond my professional pursuits, I’m deeply passionate about advocating for others and speaking out against injustice.

What is the most valuable skill you have learned in your career/business?

One of the most valuable skills I’ve acquired is effective time management and consistency. While I had decent time management skills growing up due to my involvement in various extracurricular activities, I’ve refined and enhanced these skills as I’ve grown older.

What is something you wish you knew when you were just starting out in your career/business?

I wish I had understood the importance of self-care and personal boundaries early on. Initially, I found myself constantly exhausted and ignored signals from my mind and body indicating the need for rest and recuperation. I was so focused on helping others, building my business, and taking on additional responsibilities that I neglected to recognize my limitations. I’ve since learned to establish boundaries, take necessary breaks, and understand that success is not achievable when burnt out.
