DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell us about yourself

 My name is Victor Sho.  I am an actor and choreographer/movement coach.  I was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but was raised in the Bronx in NYC. As an actor I have had roles on Raising Dion (Netflix), Orange is the New Black (Netflix), Holiday Hideaway (BET+), City on a Hill (Showtime), just to name a few.  My choreography/movement coach credits include Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys, Carly Rae Jepson, Demi Lovato, Cheat Codes, Loote, Orange is the new Black, Paradise Square on Broadway, and more.  Before my acting and choreography career took off I spent many years working as professional dancer  with celebrities like JLo, Kendrick Lamar, Madonna, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Tinashe, spots on commercial campaigns w/ L’Oréal, Oldnavy, dance roles on SNL (NBC), Vinyl (HBO), The Get Down (Netflix), Girls (HBO), and many more.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

  My Drive for success in all that I choose to do!

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What separates you from others who do what you do?

Just me being me.  I believe my personality, presence, and energy is attractive for many.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: How long have you been doing what you do?

Acting for 10 years

Choreography for over 22 years

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be? Explain why.

  • Ambitious – I dream big enough to create an initial scare, but then chase my dreams fearlessly
  • Kind – Offering kindness is free.  I also love to offer a helping hand when I can, encourage, inspire , and motivate others.
  • Perseverant – I have had and continue to have heavily load obstacles but I refuse to stop going after my short/long term goals and dreams.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Describe your daily routine.

My daily routine changes for the most part everyday due to random auditions, gigs, projects, or responsibilities for my home/family.  However, I try to stick to the following schedule 3-5x a week:

  • 7am – Wake up
  • 8:30/9am – Drop son off at school
  • 9am-11am – Workout (once a week with trainer and the rest by myself)
  • 11:15 shower then breakfast/brunch
  • 12pm-2:30 Voice Training: Private singing classes or Dialect Classes on accents.  (Some days I train with celeb. acting coaches from 1-5pm)
  • 2:30-3:30 – Lunch/some fam time
  • 3:30-5:30 – Computer Stuff: Submissions for Industry work, Follow up emails/calls for projects I’m producing, drafting invoices for businesses, errands my home.
  • 5:45pm – Pick up my son from school.
  • 6:30pm-7:30pm – Computer Stuff: Submissions for Industry work, Follow up emails/calls for projects I’m producing, drafting invoices for businesses, errands for home.
  • 7:45 – Dinner/Family time
  • 10/10:30 – Get ready for bed (brushing teeth/washing face and some light prep for the next day)
  • 10:30/11pm – Rest

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Who is your role model? Why?

I have two role models.  Denzel Washington and Michael B. Jordan. Denzel Washington models a career I aspire to have, transitioning from an award winning actor to an award winning director and producer.  Michael B. Jordan for not only reaching high heights in his actor career, but for having a production company that produces quality, thought provoking movies and TV shows.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

In 5 years I will be an award winning actor who has one or all 3 of the following; a tony, golden globe, or oscar.  I eventually want to be na EGOT.

I also would have already produced or locked in a targeted platform (HBO) to collaborate with and produce my first award winning TV show and award winning film.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What are your hopes and dreams for yourself in the coming 10 years?

In 10 years I want to be an EGOT.

 DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could give a bit of significant career advice to your younger self, what would you say?

If I was to give my younger self advice I would say start training and grinding as an actor much earlier.  Don’t wait till your a big time dancer or model.  Also, take better care of your instrument.  Start working out earlier before you reach the age of 25.  Don’t take your nigerian metabolism for granted… lol…

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What has been your career highlight until now?

As an actor, my roles on Raising Dion and Holiday Hideaway.

As a choreographer, working with Demi Lovato on her performance with cheat codes on Jimmy Fallon and working with Jamie Foxx for Oath.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is the best advice you received that changed your life?

Best advice is one that I have given my self through life experiences is… “Don’t ask, Don’t get!!!”

 DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What professional skill makes you stand out in your field of work?

As an actor, using the Meisner technique.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is that one life lesson that you learned a little too late?

One life lesson I learned a little too late is that marriage is amazing!!… Also, just like having kids, you can never be fully prepared.  However, I have no regrets how life played out.  I’m thankful for learning that lesson late.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your biggest lifetime accomplishment?

One of my biggest lifetime accomplishments was getting married to my wife. Real talk!… My life has never been the same. Even with the ups and downs life is still good.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell us about one event that had a big impact on you.

The time Susan Batson told me that I am of one her new favorite actors.  She said I am an amazing.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is the Funniest thing that happened to you in 2022?

Seeing a swimming pool in the VIP section of the baseball stadium for the Diamondsback.  Baseball is so boring they need more things going on in their VIP to keep fans entertained.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your number one goal for 2023?

To land a major series regular role

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your biggest regret in life?

One of my biggest regrets stems from the time I was supposed to go back home to Nigeria with my mom to visit my grandmother.  It would have been the first time back since I was born. Instead, I took a gig and postponed my trip. Two months later my grandmother passed away.

My favorite vacation is Bali.  My wife and I went there for our honeymoon.  Its so beautiful.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What do you think is your worst quality?

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you had to throw a surprise party for someone, what would you plan for them?

I have thrown 2 surprise parties and a surprise proposal/flashmob/engagement party all for my wife. I have too many ideas but to cover the basics. I would plan a dinner or a fake event so the person being surprised is forced to dress up.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What type of music do you love the most? Why? Afrobeats… it use to be hiphop and gospel but as the afro industry evolved so did my love for its sound.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Tell me your worst joke.

Calling my wife Queen shade when she is being shady knowingly or unknowingly.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Do you have any favorite pairs of shoes? If yes, explain!

Calvin Klein Tux shoes are one my favorite because its comfortable and stylish.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your opinion on the kind of current music that the artists are releasing?

The Music today is ok.  I feel like for HipHop its all about the production and less about the lyrics.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Who is your ideal fictional character?

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I wouldn’t live in just one place if I had a choice.  I would live in two places;  LA and South Jersey.  LA for for constant warm weather and work.  South Jersey to be close to family.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your philosophy in life?

Train hard, work hard, stay consistent, and be ready for the opportunities that come your way.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: Prince or Michael Jackson? Why?

MJ all day!!…. I like Prince music, but I love MJ’s music.

I went from pursuing a career in medicine to pursuing a career in the arts because I was tricked by my friend.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What makes you feel most confident?

Consistent bookings in acting and choreography.

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: If you could thank two persons for everything you achieved in life so far, who would they be?

My mom and Ksyn Cason (The friend that tricked me into auditioning for the Dance/Talent agency that eventually signed me.)

DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS: What is your biggest dream?                                  

Winning an Oscar, while being a sought out Actor by all in the industry.

Be more efficient in executing steps towards long and short term goals
