With a background in dance and modeling, Mer-C’s career has taken her on a dynamic journey, combining her passion for music, business, and fashion. From her early days dancing at Pomona High to being featured in music videos by Master P and Goodie Mobb, she’s always been deeply rooted in the entertainment world.
Raised in Pomona and attending school in Rialto during her younger years, Mer-C has been exposed to the grind of the entertainment industry from a young age. Her move to Chicago was pivotal, where she won the reality show #TheHungriesTrapper produced by Stacey ‘Boss Diamond’ Gill. This victory, which included a $10,000 cash prize, was a turning point, allowing Mer-C to invest in her career and collaborate with talent across both Chicago and California.
Her return to California marked a new chapter in her career as she made the brave decision to sacrifice everything to be closer to her family, particularly her oldest son, who was heading off to college. Despite this challenge, Mer-C’s passion for rap and pinup modeling never waned. She continued to perform at shows and open for some of the biggest names in the industry, including DJ Quik and Juvenile. Her efforts soon led to collaboration with Pomona Young and his daughter Ree Ree, with the pair creating the Pomona Ladies Movement. This initiative caught the attention of prominent figures like RMM Percy and Snoop Dogg, leading to an invitation for Mer-C and Ree Ree to join the Puff, Puff, Pass Tour 2, alongside legends such as the Dogg Pound, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Warren G, Too $hort, and others.
Upon returning from the tour, Mer-C’s focus remained unwavering. She appeared in an interview with Christine Devine of Fox 11 News, which quickly became the most shared and viewed segment on social media. Her rise in popularity was not limited to just her music career; Mer-C extended her influence into the fashion world by launching her own clothing line, No Mer-C Kings Only, alongside her group of empowered models, No Mer-C Models. She also expanded into the world of dance, creating No Mer-C Dancers to further amplify her brand. Her collaboration with Macy’s Impulse Beauty manager Shanita helped showcase her “Queens Only” line during a red-carpet event at the Inland Center, drawing support from Queens across various cities.
Mer-C’s debut album, Pomona Queen, is available now across all streaming platforms, and she has already planned more projects to drop in early 2025. With her unwavering work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset, and commitment to empowering others, Mer-C is destined to leave a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
