On Sunday, May 14th, the Toyota Center in Ontario, CA, came alive with the soulful sounds of R&B legends as Bobby Dee hosted the Annual Mother’s Day RNB Edition concert.
The evening featured an impressive lineup, including Xscape, Blackstreet, 112, Ginuwine, and Jon B, all of whom delivered unforgettable performances that transported the audience back to the golden era of R&B.
As the show started, the atmosphere was charged with nostalgia. Jon B opened the event with a string of hits that reminded fans why his music has stood the test of time. The crowd erupted with excitement, eager to relive the classic melodies of their youth. The energy in the arena was electric, amplified by the sold-out crowd, which was filled with mothers and families celebrating this special day.
112 took the stage next, captivating the audience with their smooth harmonies and undeniable charm. Their performance of “Peaches & Cream” was a standout moment, as every person in the audience sang along to the iconic lyrics, proving it to be one of the best songs of all time. Continuing the celebration, Blackstreet paid tribute to all the moms in attendance, showering the audience with roses and heartfelt appreciation. Ginuwine humorously reminded the crowd that many might have been conceived to his iconic hit “Pony,” sparking laughter and cheers throughout the venue.
The highlight of the night came from Xscape, who took the stage by storm, showcasing their impressive vocal range and dynamic stage presence. Kandi’s ability to effortlessly hit such soaring high notes left the audience in awe, a true testament to her extraordinary talent. Her remarkable vocal prowess, paired with the stunning black diamond bedazzled outfits worn by the group, lit up the stage and captivated everyone in attendance. Tamika’s vocal delivery was particularly noteworthy, further enchanting the crowd with every note.
The excitement peaked when surprise guest T.I., Tiny’s husband, joined the stage, further elevating the evening’s festivities.
