French Montana Becomes the Most Streamed African-Born Artist in History

Karim Kharbouch, better known by his stage name French Montana, has become the most streamed African born artist in the history of Spotify. The Moroccan-American rapper, singer and songwriter is renowned for his unique style of music that blends North African and American Hip Hop, and has amassed a huge following across the world.

French Montana was born in Rabat, Morocco in 1984, and later immigrated with his family to the United States when he was 13 years old.
