Jabali Academy (JA), an innovative K-8 school that will open its doors in fall 2026, is on the lookout for a passionate and visionary educator to serve as its Founding Kindergarten Teacher.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have expertise in early childhood education and a sophisticated understanding of Pan-African studies. The position requires someone who can translate this knowledge into meaningful and engaging learning experiences for young children, all while fostering a classroom environment that celebrates African heritage and culture.
Working directly under the Head of School, the Founding Kindergarten Teacher will also hold an administrative capacity on the lower school leadership team, providing essential input on curriculum development, enrollment processes, and the establishment of structured classroom environments. This position is integral to setting the tone for the school for years to come.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement an engaging and culturally relevant curriculum for kindergarten students.
• Administrative Leadership: Provide valuable input on the selection and final touches for the school’s enrollment processes and assist in shaping the foundational framework of Jabali Academy.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a warm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that will serve as a model for future grades.
• Entrepreneurial Vision: Bring a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial spirit to the role, helping to build an innovative, Pan-African educational model.
