POP THE BALLOON OR POPSTAR
CITYOFANGELO: A Multidimensional Artist Bridging Soul, Cinema, and West Coast Energy
Bentley Angelo Fanté, professionally known as CITYOFANGELO—or simply Angelo—is a Trinidadian-American entertainer whose artistry reflects depth, heritage, and creative range. Raised in Mid-City Los Angeles, Angelo stands at the crossroads of music, movement, and visual storytelling, representing a new generation of artists who refuse to be confined to a single lane.
Born to legendary R&B and soul singer Ricky Fante, Angelo was immersed in music from an early age. His upbringing blended the timeless influence of classic soul with the rhythmic richness of his Trinidadian roots, forming a cultural foundation that continues to shape his sound. That dual heritage—Caribbean spirit and West Coast edge—gives his artistry a layered identity that feels both personal and expansive.
A graduate of the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI), Angelo brings a cinematic sensibility to everything he creates. His background in film sharpened his understanding of narrative, pacing, and emotion—tools he now applies seamlessly across music, performance, and visual expression. Whether on stage or on screen, Angelo approaches his work as a storyteller first.
As an artist, CITYOFANGELO is fully multidimensional. He sings, raps, writes, and dances with intention, fusing soulful melodies, sharp lyricism, and high-energy movement into performances that feel immersive and alive. In 2024, he released his debut album Money Band Tears, a defining milestone that introduced his solo vision—one rooted in vulnerability, ambition, and lived experience.
Earlier in his career, Angelo collaborated closely with the late producer and rapper Hella Sketchy, co-writing and contributing to Hella Sketchy’s 2019 debut album shortly before the artist’s tragic passing. The experience left a lasting imprint on Angelo’s creative outlook and deepened his commitment to authenticity in his work.
Behind the scenes, Angelo’s industry experience is equally expansive. He completed an apprenticeship under Sean “Diddy” Combs, gaining firsthand insight into the mechanics of music and entertainment at the highest level. From 2020 to 2022, during the height of the pandemic, he served as manager for rapper and reality television star Diamond The Body, overseeing her club ventures and appearances during a pivotal phase of her rise across music, nightlife, and television.
Angelo has also participated in elite pioneer camp sessions alongside Post Malone, curated by producer Azul Wynter, and contributed behind the scenes to Kanye West’s YZY Season 9 presentation at Paris Fashion Week, one of the most talked-about cultural moments in recent fashion history.
Today, as CITYOFANGELO, Angelo continues to push creative boundaries—merging soul, hip-hop, dance, and film into a singular artistic identity. With deep musical roots, formal cinematic training, and real-world experience alongside industry giants, he represents a new wave of multifaceted creators shaping the future of entertainment.
From Los Angeles to the global stage, CITYOFANGELO is not just performing—he’s building a legacy driven by culture, craft, and vision.
