Some dreams begin with a single moment. Others are built one class, one competition, and one sacrifice at a time.
For Jacob “The Bull” Brown, the dream of opening Bullpen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been forged over 18 years of relentless dedication to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Long before there was a business plan or a logo, there was a young boy who stepped onto the mats with a passion that would shape the rest of his life.
That commitment has led Jacob to become an IBJJF Kids World Champion, an IBJJF Juvenile No-Gi World Champion, while also earning podium finishes and championships through prestigious organizations including the IBJJF Pan Championships, Jiu-Jitsu Con, and Subversiv. These accomplishments are the result of years of discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief that success is earned through consistency and perseverance.
Yet medals and championships are only part of Jacob’s story.
The true dream is Bullpen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—an academy built not just to teach world-class Jiu-Jitsu, but to positively impact lives for generations to come.
At this moment, Bullpen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not yet open. While the business has been officially established and is a legitimate registered company, we have not yet secured a permanent location.What exists today is a vision backed by years of planning, professional experience, and an unwavering commitment to building something that will truly serve the community.
Bullpen is being created as a place where children gain confidence, teenagers discover purpose, adults improve their health, and families find a second home.
More importantly, it will be a culture built on three unwavering principles:
Integrity. Respect. Trust.
These values will shape every class, every coach, every student, and every decision made within the academy. Bullpen will be a place where people are treated with dignity, where egos are left at the door, and where character is valued just as highly as competition.
Whether someone dreams of becoming a world champion or simply wants to become healthier, stronger, and more confident, every person who walks through Bullpen’s doors will receive the same commitment, encouragement, and respect.
Jacob believes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has the power to transform lives far beyond the competition mats. It teaches resilience through adversity, humility through success, and confidence through hard work. Those lessons stay with students long after class ends.
Today, the only missing piece is a place to call home.
We are currently raising funds through GoFundMeto help secure a permanent location and build Bullpen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the ground up. Donations will help provide the facility, training mats, equipment, and everything needed to create a safe, welcoming academy where future generations can learn, grow, and thrive.
