Held on 103rd Street next to Ted Watkins Park, the event drew families from across the community for a day filled with excitement, joy, and generosity.

From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the vibrant and colorful fair provided free backpacks, school supplies, food, music, braiding, haircuts, and icees, ensuring that local students were well-prepared and confident for the upcoming school year. The celebration also featured resource booths, activities, medical screenings, and a train ride for children, making it both fun and informative for attendees.

The event’s success was powered by an impressive lineup of sponsors and partners, including Kaiser Permanente, Raising Cane’s, Target, Starbucks, Dignity Health, Happy Ice, Denim Exchange, and many more. Community organizations such as Partnerships for Families, AltaMed PACE, and Boss Kids Braiding Academy also provided services and hands-on support.

Music, laughter, and the spirit of togetherness filled the air as neighbors connected, children played, and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the day ran smoothly. The Sisters of Watts once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to empowering the community, providing essential resources, and creating unforgettable memories.

This milestone 10th anniversary event proved that when a community comes together, anything is possible — and the school year ahead is already off to a strong, joyful start.
