On April 9th, 2023, Pastor Aaron Lindsey of Believe Church LA led a special Easter Sunday service and all-white party. The service began with a prayer by Pastor Adriann Lindsey and a wonderful worship of the choir, who were all dressed in white. The church was beautifully decorated and the presence of the Holy Spirit was felt throughout the service.

The service was well-organized and even attracted celebrity guests, including basketball legend Lamar Odom. Associate pastors Corlandos and Tamara Scott came to the stage to make an important announcement: next week, the church will be online-only, and they advised the congregation to gather for a watch party to continue watching the service.

The pastor began his sermon by explaining the significance of the color white in the Bible and opened the Bible to John 3:16. He spoke about the fact that Easter is celebrated in 95 countries and 2.2 billion people around the world, resulting in 26 decisions to follow Jesus.

The sermon’s topic was “Challenge” and the pastor began by reading from Luke 22:39-41. He explained that real love will cost us blood, sweat, and tears. He asked what people do when they pray and things do not happen the way they expected. The pastor reminded the congregation that even Jesus had to pray and that they should not give up, even when things are tough. He encouraged them not to quit, no matter what people say or post on social media about them, because God is the one who has given them their DNA and is leading them on their path.

The pastor then moved on to the second topic: “Choice,” which he read from Matthew 27:15-16. He reminded the congregation that people have a choice and that Jesus died for us because we are sinners. He urged them to choose who they serve and read Romans 5:8, which states that while we were still sinners, God showed his love for us by sending Jesus to die for us.

The choir joined the stage, and the pastor invited people to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior for the first time. The congregation prayed together, and the choir continued to sing. Overall, it was a wonderful and uplifting service that reminded people of the importance of choosing to follow Jesus and not giving up in the face of challenges.
