Paramount+ has announced that it is developing a new original series called “Vice City” from rapper and producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The series is set to be a part of the expanding lineup of shows and movies available on the streaming platform.

“Vice City” is described as a gritty, first-hand account of the drug trade in Miami during the 1980s. The series will follow the story of a young Black man who rises to power in the drug world while trying to maintain his morality and sanity. The show will explore themes of race, politics, power, and violence, and promises to be a thought-provoking look at the dark underbelly of the Miami drug trade.

Jackson will serve as an executive producer on the series, alongside his producing partner, Randell Emmett. The show is being produced by Lionsgate Television, which has a first-look deal with Jackson and Emmett’s production company, G-Unit Film & Television.

The streaming platform is quickly becoming a major player in the world of streaming entertainment, with a slate of highly anticipated titles, including “Halo,” “The Offer,” and a new series based on “The Italian Job.”

With its growing library of content and impressive lineup of original programming, Paramount+ is poised to become a major force in the world of streaming. And with “Vice City” in the works, fans of gritty crime dramas and powerful storytelling have something to look forward to in the coming months
