Unlocking Doors Through Prayer: A Recap of Pastor Aaron Lindsey’s Sunday Service at Believe Church LA
On Sunday, March 5th, Believe Church LA hosted their Sunday service with Pastor Aaron Lindsey. The theme of the service was “prayer is the key to unlock doors.” The service began with powerful worship in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Aaron led a prayer for healing for families who have lost someone within the last 24 months, teenagers struggling with depression, college students, and marriages. The associate pastors then asked the question of the day: “what is the one thing we wish we figured out soon?”
During the service, it was announced that online services would be held on Sunday, March 12th and 19th. The sermon began with a video clip of different people asking God for various things, from relationships to swimming pools. At the end of the clip, the same people appeared frustrated because they were not receiving what they asked for.
Pastor Aaron started preaching about the importance of prayer in the life of a Christian. He stated that prayer is not a monologue, a list, or reserved for crisis situations. He emphasized that praying daily is like having a very close conversation with God, and it strengthens our relationship with Him.
Prayer is not just talking to God, but it’s also letting God talk to us. It is a relationship of intimacy. Pastor Aaron referenced the verses related to prayer that Jesus gave us in Matthew 6.
He also talked about the ACTS prayer model, which begins with adoration: giving God praise, followed by confession: confessing our sins and asking God to forgive us, thanksgiving: thanking God for everything He has done and will do, and supplication: presenting our requests before the Lord.
Pastor Aaron suggested visiting the church website to find more guided, handwritten prayers by him and Pastor Adrian. He emphasized that God is faithful to answer our prayers. On the website, visitors can find prayers about health and healing, financial provision, fear, and anxiety.
The service concluded with a powerful prayer, and those who accepted Jesus Christ for the first time were welcomed. The Sunday service at Believe Church LA with Pastor Aaron Lindsey was a powerful reminder of the importance of prayer and its role in our daily lives.
