My journey is one of transformation through faith and action. Becoming a mother at 14 and facing homelessness and domestic violence could have defined me. Instead, I chose to believe that my story had purpose. Today, I use those experiences to create spaces where others can find hope, healing, and leadership within themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I remember sitting in a counselor\u2019s office as a teenager, feeling invisible\u2014like my circumstances were my identity. That moment sparked a desire in me to create spaces where people could be seen for their potential, not their problems. My challenges weren\u2019t just obstacles\u2014they were training grounds for the work I do now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The biggest challenge has been learning to trust God\u2019s timing over my own. I\u2019ve had to let go of the need to control outcomes and focus on the work I\u2019m called to do, knowing that everything will align as it should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I remind myself that this work isn\u2019t about me\u2014it\u2019s about the lives I\u2019m called to impact. I think of the teen who discovers their voice through our programs or the reader who finds hope in one of my books. Faith and reflection keep me grounded when the weight feels overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growth often comes wrapped in discomfort. The hardest seasons\u2014those moments of heartbreak and uncertainty\u2014were actually preparing me for the work I do now. What felt like breaking was really building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
Faith has been my foundation and compass. Psalm 37:23 says, \u201cThe steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.\u201d That scripture has been my anchor in seasons of uncertainty. Faith reminds me that nothing is wasted and that every step is preparing me for the purpose ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m inspired by the teens and families I work with\u2014people who refuse to let their circumstances define them. Seeing someone step into their potential reminds me why this work matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Balance is about setting boundaries and honoring what\u2019s most important. I\u2019ve learned to say no to what doesn\u2019t align with my purpose and yes to rest, family, and prayer. Taking care of myself allows me to serve others effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People often think my work is about providing answers. In reality, it\u2019s about creating spaces where others can find their own strength, solutions, and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seeing transformation happen. Whether it\u2019s a teen discovering their voice or a reader finding healing, those moments remind me that this work is making a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holistic wellness. I believe that nurturing your mind, body, and spirit is essential for showing up fully in life. It\u2019s why I wrote Workout with Kendra<\/em>\u2014to inspire others to prioritize their well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ability to truly listen\u2014not just to words, but to the heart behind them. Listening builds trust and creates space for transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That success isn\u2019t about perfection\u2014it\u2019s about showing up and doing the work, even when it feels messy. Every step matters, and the process is where the real growth happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I see setbacks as lessons in disguise. They challenge me to think differently, adjust my approach, and grow in ways I couldn\u2019t have anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To use what I\u2019ve been given\u2014my experiences, gifts, and voice\u2014to uplift and empower others. If my story can inspire someone to keep going, then I\u2019m fulfilling my purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My forthcoming book, Unbroken Jewelz: Real Stories of Surviving Heartbreak and Bouncing Back<\/em>, is one of my proudest achievements. It\u2019s not just a collection of stories\u2014it\u2019s a testament to the strength and beauty that come from healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I envision Jewelz Foundation Inc. becoming a national leader in youth empowerment, offering mentorship hubs, childcare centers, residential programs, and leadership workshops that transform communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giving back is embedded in everything I do. Through programs like our teen summits, I aim to equip others with tools to lead, heal, and thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By staying curious. Innovation comes from listening to the needs of the community, reflecting on what\u2019s working, and being willing to adapt and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
