My name is Jacob Brown I\u2019m known as Jacob \u201cThe Bull\u201d, I\u2019m a 19 yr old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter and competitor. I was born in Miami, Fl but moved to NJ when I was ab out 3 yrs old. I began my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey at the age of 6, under Sgt. Paul Carnicella from the Newark, NJ Police dept. at Carnicella MMA Academy, in Newark, NJ. I was introduced to the sport by my aunt (maternal) whom is also a Newark, NJ Police Officer. I moved to Southern California at the age 10 where I joined The Art of Jiu Jitsu Academy under Guillerme and Rafael Mendes whom I still train under. Recently, I was signed by PKA Agency as I am also pursuing a career in acting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What separates you from others who do what you do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I think what separates me is when I\u2019m out competing I aim to entertain the crowd. I like to put on a show as Jiu Jitsu can be boring to watch to those who don\u2019t understand the sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> How long have you doing what you do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 14 yrs now. Explain why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brave, Determined & Fashionable If I could describe myself it would be that, I\u2019m brave, I\u2019m determined and I love fashion. Brave because it takes bravery within yourself to face your everyday obstacles of life. Determination is what\u2019s needed to conquer your goals. Fashion, I mean who doesn\u2019t love fashion? It\u2019s a confidence booster for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n If I could change one thing about myself I would have to say to trust my instincts more. My instincts in people, life, food etc..<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Describe your daily routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My daily routine starts with training from 7am to 9am, come home shower eat, head to mid afternoon Cardio training, come home do some networking on social media then back to training from 6-7pm. Weekends I keep open for friends & family<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Who is your role model? Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n To be honest I don\u2019t really see any one person as a role model. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s a requirement needed to chase your dreams. I keep myself enthusiastic and motivated<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I see myself competing at the highest level in the black belt division and having a successful Jiu Jiu Academy<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What are your hopes and dreams for yourself in the coming 10 years?<\/p>\n\n\n\n My hopes and dreams would have to be retired from competing in Jiu Jitsu and doing some TV\/Film<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> If you could give a bit of significant career advice to your younger self, what would you say?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I would tell my younger self opportunities don\u2019t just fall on your lap. So don\u2019t turn them away so easily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What has been your career highlight until now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I would say one of my career highlights is my 2019 IBJJF No-Gi World\u2019s Championship; the training for this Championship was brutal. It was a tough year for me at the time. Right now it\u2019s my 2022 IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Con International Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What is the best advice you received that changed your life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The best advice I\u2019ve been given is to follow my instincts. I have great instincts and it hasn\u2019t let me down yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What professional skill makes you stand out in your field of work?<\/p>\n\n\n\n What I feel makes me stand out in my professional skill is I\u2019m able to combine my Jiu Jitsu , Judo and wrestling training an create my own style of fighting & competing. I think it makes it entertaining to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What is that one life lesson that you learned a little too late?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Life is just starting for me. I can\u2019t say I\u2019ve learned enough yet to say \u201ctoo little to late\u201d ask me again in a few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Tell us about one event that had a big impact on you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I would have to say when I got a really bad skin infection called MRSA. I was out of training for 6 months. It has to be till date the worse 6 months of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What is your number one goal for 2023?<\/p>\n\n\n\n My #1 goal for 2023 is to win another World Championship and break into acting<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What is your biggest regret in life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I would have to say my biggest regret in life was in early 2019 I traveled all the way to Lisbon, Portugal for a competition and was disqualified for not being able to make the weight. So I didn\u2019t get to compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Do you have a favorite quote? What is it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n My new favorite quote would have to be \u201cIf you do what you love, you\u2019ll never have to work\u201d I\u2019m fortunate enough to be able to actually do what I love and monetize off of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> What is your favorite book?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m still a kid at heart. I enjoy my comic books and my Goosebumps books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DIZZYDIDDY+PLUS:<\/strong> Describe your perfect vacation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My perfect vacation is being on a tropical Island. I love warm weather and beautiful sceneries. Got to have a good DJ, good food, I don\u2019t know if I\u2019d want it in the middle of the Ocean. I have to say Hip Hop is my #1 top favorite. There\u2019s realness in Hip Hop. I come from a loving and loyal family, so I already have the love.
